Eimeo Surf Life Saving Club is one of the youngest club in Queensland and the only club in Australia to have a mammal as on their cap. The Club opened her doors in December 2000. Mackay Surf Life Saving Club was in the very spot we are today. They operated here from 1948-1960. The club was then run as a catamaran club until the Surf Club took over.
Eimeo Surf Life Saving Club is situated in the northern beaches of Mackay, at the start of the beautiful Whitsundays or the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. Eimeo beach is arguably the most beautiful beach in Mackay with its crystal clear waters and views of the islands.
Volunteer lifesavers from Eimeo Surf Life Saving Club are dedicated to keeping the beach safe for everyone to enjoy. They patrol Saturday afternoons and all day Sunday during summer, with a full time lifeguard on patrol throughout the school holidays.
Eimeo Surf Life Saving Club is a family oriented club with membership from Nippers through to Masters and members are encouraged to take part in activities ranging from patrolling through to competing and social activities. The club also offers a number of facilities for Active Members including showers, gym and a kitchen.
The Supporters Club is a great place to catch up with family and friends to watch the moon come up over the ocean, while sipping on your favourite drink. Visitors are welcome.
